We had a 1.5" topper before and this one is a different world. So soft and so comfy. With fibromyalgia getting comfortable can be a problem. Since we got this topper I often find myself waking up in the morning in the same position in which I went to sleep - a rarity I haven't experienced in years.
It is much warmer than a conventional topper or pad which can be a problem for some folks, however, we are able to adjust the room temperature and our covers to compensate.
I have been looking at these toppers for a long time. The price for this one was great and shipping was super fast. I have to say that it's the best experience I've had shopping on Amazon and I've had a lot of good experiences.

This Thing Hurts Me, February 20, 2011 By Beatrice (New York) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: 3.3 Cloud9 Queen 4 Inch 100% Visco Elastic Memory Foam Mattress Topper I have arthritis and sleep on a Tempurpedic 8" mattress which I find too firm. I thought this would give soft padding. It gives that for sure but the "memory" part of memory foam is missing from this product. It takes about 20 minutes to "spring' back so at night, your body forms a deep indentation making it hard to change positions. It sinks in so deeply that I'm still on the hard Tempurpedic and still wake with sore hips and shoulders. As far as the smell....really, really dreadful for first three days. That did fade though. I don't know what to do with this thing now. Maybe I'll cut it up and use it as insullation around my basement windows. Very disappointed. Got the Sleep innovations 4-inch Select Memory Foam Topper for my son's bed and he likes it. He's 17 however, so I don't know how an old fart like myself with aches and pains would feel about it. The Sleep Innovations topper had no bad smell however.

I would advise to get maybe a 3 inch or less. However I still like it, am able to sleep well and was able to use it first time i received it, No smell. it came with a pillow but i have not used it yet due to the smell (instructions say use after about 76hrs- waiting)
